One of the world’s leading clarinettists, Paul Meyer, is also a respected conductor. In this double-role he will present a programme symbolically straddled between the Rhine region and the Parisian Seine.
The PKF – Prague Philharmonia Orchestral Series A offers in this 2016–2017 season ten outstanding evenings (concerts A1 to A10) with music in crystal clear and sparklingly passionate interpretations. The programming of the A series is focused on two composers' anniversaries: W. A. Mozart (260th birth anniversary in 2016) and Johannes Brahms (120th death anniversary in 2017); the repertory is complemented by contemporary works by composers such as Frigyes Hidas and Jiří Kadeřábek. The orchestra will be conducted by their Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume, as well as by Jakub Hrůša, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Milan Turković and the orchestra’s founder Jiří Bělohlávek.
