Orbital

When the monsters are unleashed in our dark world, we need our own monsters to fight back. Say Orbital and they come back into the clubs and especially on the stages in full power. Since the brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll celebrated their reunion last year, British giants of electronic music are on a crusade with new songs and an upgrade to their last year's fantastic legendary show, which amazed the audience at all major festivals worldwide. Since the 1990s, Orbital has been an instance of British electronic music with their combination of techno, punk attitude, and political interference until they announced their dissolution in 2014. But luckily it was not long lasting. The first single, Tiny Foldable Cities, was released in May, followed by Monsters Exist in October, a fairly classic-structured and politically-inspired step back in time as Paul and Phil outgrew their roots in the squatter-punk scene. It combines two different currents: On the one hand, the sound is really aggressive Crass style, while at the same time referring to classical raves and their importance as a truly independent countermovement.
