The 100th anniversary of his birth falls on 29 September. One of his most important artistic achievements at the helm of the Czech Philharmonic was the now legendary recording of all of Mahler’s symphonies between 1976 and 1982.

Programme: – Dmitri Shostakovich: Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 35 for piano, trumpet, and strings – Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 5 in C Sharp Minor
