Ola Błachno and the band will play the premiere concert promoting her latest album.
Ola Błachno’s music is a fresh look at jazz: energetic and very sincere in expression. It is difficult to define her work unambiguously, because it is a combination of modern jazz with musical and songwriting influences. The music, rich in vocal and instrumental improvisations, is complemented by personal textures, which are its very important element. Ola’s music is like herself: reflective and lively. This results in 4 songs on the album: two jazz ballads (Perfection and Miracle) and two songs full of dynamism and expression (How to be me and Thrill). The songs on her debut album How to be me are her own compositions and lyrics inspired by her experiences in multicultural Berlin, where she is currently finishing her jazz vocalism at the renowned Universität der Künste Berlin (Jazz- Institut Berlin) under the supervision of such musicians as Judy Niemack and Greg Cohen.
