At the last meeting of the “Discovering Picasso” series, you will be able to look at the artist’s ceramic works.
An interesting part of Pablo Picasso’s rich work is ceramics. After settling in Vallauris in the south of France in 1948, he devoted himself mainly to ceramic art. It seemed very attractive to him because it combined sculpture, painting and applied arts. What is interesting for the Spanish artist was the utility function of the created works. He wanted his art to be a part of ordinary life, everyday activities and home furnishing. Ceramics has been his passion for many years, the remnants of which are numerous plates, pots, jugs and vases. The lecture will show how the ceramic work of the Spanish Master has changed and evolved.
