The significance of the National House is documented by many period photographs, today it is located in the protection zone of the historic center of Starý Bohumín and in 2007 it was declared a cultural monument. The building underwent the greatest changes, both indoors and outdoors, in the early 1970s due to extensive reconstruction. The National House was thus deprived of many architectural details.
