In how many ways do people resist the wiles of the noisy and intricate world? How to attain dulling of the senses so as to be able to cope with the expectations and requirements placed on us every day?

It would seem that taking all kinds of drugs has never been as common as it is today. They are available at every turn, with the majority of people managing, without great difficulty, the constant pressure while being under their influence. There is no human culture not seeking manners of achieving an altered state of consciousness. Being zonked out may also open the door to the divinity in every one of us. Where then is the borderline between seeking and addiction? The production has been inspired by and based on the Polish author Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz’s book Narcotics. The audience will be acquainted with the numerous addictions society struggles with, ranging from alcohol and tobacco, hard drugs, to the less spectacular ones, such as sugar, computer games, shopping, which too may have destructive consequences.
