Muzeum Uzbrojenia

The Museum of Armaments—a branch of the Wielkopolska Museum of Independence—is located on the premises of the former Fort Winiary on Poznan's Citadel. The fort was built in between 1828 and 1842; located on the Winiary Hill towering over the city, it was the most important part of the polygonal fortress surrounding Poznań. Today, visitors can see more than a dozen examples of military vehicles, post-WWII aircraft and helicopters, or various types of Soviet and German weaponry from small arms to artillery ammunition.
