Muzeum Przyrody
The Nature Museum in Olsztyn is the youngest branch of the Museum of Warmia and Mazury. It was established on 1 January 2000, but already before that, since 1956, there was a Department of Nature of the Museum of Warmia and Mazury, and the collection of natural resources began in 1951. The collection started with the post-German collections: 38 animal specimens - mostly damaged, 12 boxes with 284 geological exhibits and a well-preserved herbarium of Hans Steffen, consisting of about 460 sheets. In the course of the following years the collection grew rapidly.
