The current exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the complex identity of Henryk Streng/Mark Wlodarski will be the starting point for a discussion on Deaf identity, during which the problem of self-censorship of Deaf people and censorship of their identity by hearing people will be raised. During the meeting we will ask ourselves the questions: Why do Deaf people struggle with their identity? Who decides on identity in the first place? How do we care about the Deaf’s past and build awareness of their history? The debate will end with a conversation about future perspectives and possible solutions. Agnieszka Kołodziejczak and Tomasz Świderski will discuss self-censorship and censorship of the Deaf. The meeting will be moderated by Daniel Kotowski.

The meeting will be held on the Zoom platform.
