Museum of the National Anthem
A branch of the National Museum in Gdańsk, located in the Kashubian village of Będomin. The museum is located in the manor in which Józef Wybicki, the author of the text of Poland's national anthem, was born. The museum collects memorabilia of Wybicki and other figures from his era, documents relating to the history of the Dąbrowski Mazurka, as well as elements of the manor's furnishings from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The collection includes: furniture, carpets, 19th-century paintings and kilims on patriotic themes, weapons (sabres and pistols from the 19th century), patriotic jewellery from the period of the national uprisings, commemorative medals, telegrams and postcards of a patriotic character from the early 20th century, literary and plastic works inspired by The Song of the Dąbrowski Legions. Part of the exhibition is devoted to the influence of the Dabrowski Mazurka on the national consciousness of Poles.
