Muff

Muff is a Czech groove-jazz band.

Muff was founded in 1999 in Prague, but released its debut album after ten years of activity. Its music consists only of original compositions whose sources of inspiration can be found in the music of Miles Davis of the 70s, Wayne Shorter, Art Ensemble Of Chicago or the trio Medeski, Martin & Wood. The band is characterized by electrifying charge, psychedelic positions, use of samples and cosmic sounds. The band has released several albums – e.g. Hypnotix Bum Bum Bum (2016), which was recorded live in Klubovna Dejvice in Prague and released under the Polí 5 label. In 2019, the band celebrates its twentieth birthday and releases its fourth album Fatalust, again on the Polí 5 label.
