Ms2

The new space of the Art Museum is occupied by the historic building of a 19th-century weaving mill. Ms2 is primarily a place of experimental work with the Collection of 20th and 21st Century Art. The Museum's unique collections are presented here on an area of ​​3000 m2 - it is over three times more than in the building at ul. Więckowskiego. The presentation method is also different - in ms2 works are not only located on the timeline. Chronology has been replaced by groups of concepts thanks to which the works reveal messages that are relevant to us here and now. Temporary exhibitions occupy 600 m2 in the new building. The next rooms are intended for educational activities, performance, meetings with artists and film screenings.

The museum invites artists, designers and architects to create projects especially for the ms2 building. The resulting projects supply the 20th and 21st Century Art Collection, and contact with the works can be started by looking at the facade. The building also houses a café and an art bookstore - a small letter art. Every Saturday there are children's workshops and lectures, and during the week meetings, lectures and screenings.
