Venezuela, formerly a prosperous South American country, has been in a deep crisis for several years.

The collapse of the economy has led, among other things, to the collapse of the healthcare system. Most doctors, like millions of other people, have left the country. The young doctor Efraím is one of the few who have stayed, even though he doesn't even make enough money to buy food. Rebeca suffers from acute leukaemia and, like Mildred, vitally needs treatment. The crisis in Venezuela is drastically worsening and growing into a humanitarian disaster.
