Moody Moon Noize vol. 4

The fourth edition of the boutique festival Moody Moon Noize will take place over three days on 24–26 August 2023, the first wave of performers includes screenings of the award-winning film with live music, familiar names and brand new discoveries.

The program of the fourth year of Moody Moon Noize will once again have a wide variety of genres, with an emphasis on fresh representatives of the domestic and Slovak scenes. The organizers of the traveling event the music magazine Full Moon and the promotional platforms Heartnoize and Mood - have this time teamed up with the local Kuprospěch association and together they will revive several remarkable city spaces – for example the Regional Museum including its basement, the church of St. Ignáce, the City Park or the baroque Jesuit college. The complete program of the festival Moody Moon Noize vol. 4 will be announced during the spring.

Among the first names announced are the duo Post-hudba, who will present their new album We are all here and now in Chomutov, Slovakia's Berlin Manson, who won the Discovery of the Year prize at this year's Radio Head Awards, or names like Body of Pain, Manon meurt, Blue Uandi or the local group Dokruhu. Brand new names such as Ida the Young or Neue Welt will also perform at the festival, and the Prague collective Glory Affairs will take care of one of the two after-parties. The event will take place in various places in the Chomutov center and the surrounding area for example, in the Regional Museum, the Kulisárna of the Municipal Theatre, the Church of St. Ignáce or in Sadech Čs. Armády.

“One of the highlights of the event will certainly be the screening of the film Arvéd, accompanied by a joint concert by the creators of the soundtrack Aid Kid and Pjoni, who recently received the Czech Lion for the music for the film,” says Michal Pařízek, editor-in-chief of Full Moon and adds: “From another program, I definitely recommend a concert by pianist and composer Nikol Bóková or one of the first performances of the Awoo project, who will present the great album “Lost” in the AV show. These three performances will take place in the unique spaces of local churches.”

The idea for a boutique festival with limited capacity held at specific locations arose in the spring of 2020, when it became clear that many traditional events would not be possible due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the first years, the festival developed a clear profile thanks to the focus of the dramaturgy on the current domestic and Slovak scene with an emphasis on the premieres of new projects, unique spaces and a program chosen according to the specific dispositions of individual venues. In addition, the itinerant character does not allow the organizers – the team of Full Moon magazine and friendly promoter platforms Heartnoize and Mood – to succumb to inertia and routine. Each year of the event is a new challenge for organizers and visitors. All organizing entities will participate in the musical dramaturgy, the accompanying program will be entirely under the direction of the Kuprospěch association.
