Montreal
Punk, Alternative/Indie | Montreal is a punk rock band formed in 2003 in Hamburg, Germany, which is one of the few bands with German lyrics known abroad and has already toured in 18 countries.
The three Hamburgers Yonas, Hirsch and Max Power named themselves after the Canadian birthplace of their drummer Max. It didn't take long for the three-piece band to conquer the stages with their German-language punk rock. From Germany to Russia to Italy, the young group already toured with their first album Alles Auf Schwarz, which was released in 2005. Montreal's songs address the problems of young adults in an ironic and humorous way. They mock would-be rockers and always like to take their genre for a ride. As a live band in demand, they spend a large part of the year on tour, delighting audiences with mischievous lyrics, wit and irony. Among other things, they have already cultivated their punk image during a performance in the Hamburger SV stadium during the half-time break.
