The musical genre referred to as modern-classical or neo-classical has become increasingly popular over the past decade. Mostly thanks to composers such as Max Richter, Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Hildur Guðnadóttir. They have gone from Icelandic churches and small clubs to composing music for big Hollywood films or TV series, selling out the world's biggest and most prestigious venues. There are several composers on the Czech music scene who do not lose much in quality or level from the aforementioned names. And it is these musicians and musicians that the Moderna series will always present in a non-club space. Just as in architecture and visual arts, modernism introduced new perspectives and innovative practices, the musicians mentioned above are looking for new directions to take classical music. That is why Moderna will take place in venues that are emblematic of modernism. The first part of the series will be presented in Adolf Loos' architectural icon from the early 1930s, the Winternitz Villa. After the concert there will be an opportunity to see the entire villa.
