In June a special florist workshop will be held – Micro Earth in Glass – during which the family will be able to create a jar telling the story of the past, when dinosaurs lived on Earth and the plant world consisted of tree ferns, forbs, horsetails and sagophytes. This activity will be an ideal opportunity to learn about plant relicts – living fossils – which reigned on Earth as plants in earlier geological epochs. The needs of the Earth and the changes that occur on it will also be put under the microscope. During the workshop you will be able to create an ecosystem that lives, develops, changes and is self-sufficient – a permanent closed circuit in which water and elements circulate. It constitutes a natural decoration of the interior, and at the same time is an inspiring experiment encouraging a dialogue between me and the environment. The participants will leave the workshop with a piece of earth enclosed in glass, and with knowledge on how to take care of it. The organiser provides all the necessary materials. The workshop will be led by Aleksandra Strzelec – cultural educator, artist, landscape architect.
