Mieszkanie-Pracownia Kazimiery Iłłakowiczówny

The museum of poet Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna, opened in her home and atelier in 1984, on the first anniversary of her death. The layout of the furniture in the room where she lived has been left unchanged. The exhibition consists of two parts. The first collects certificates, decorations and awards received by the poet, photocopies of documents and letters (as well as her death mask, her Jagiellonian University gradebook, etc.), and the first edition of her 1911 debut Icarus Flights, while the second part is the room, with its surviving furnishings (furniture, paintings, books and everyday objects). The museum is looked after by the Raczynski Library; individual visitors can visit it every last Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Registration is required.
