After almost 3 years since her sold-out concert in Warsaw, Michelle Gurevich is coming back to Poland to charm her fans again. This time her visit will be even more special, as Gurevich will perform in three Polish cities: Wroclaw, Warsaw and Krakow. Gurevich was born in Toronto to a family of Russian immigrants and it was her eastern background that was crucial to her growing up and to the development of her musical career. Michelle Gurevich’s work is often compared to that of Leonard Cohen, Nico and Russian legends Alla Pugacheva, while reviewers refer to her atmospheric, melancholic recordings as slowcore rock or lo-fi pop.
Regardless of the journalistic labels, Gurevich’s music simply mesmerizes and reaches the deepest recesses of human sensitivity. It is no surprise that Michelle’s music is often used by film directors and TV producers. Gurevich will return to Poland with her 2020 album Ecstasy in the Shadow of Ecstasy and new compositions, heralding further releases in her discography. One can be sure, however, that during the Polish concerts there will be a full cross-section of Gurevich’s output.
The exact concert schedule will be posted here and on the organizer’s website the week of the event.
