Memorial to the Holocaust of the Roma and Sinti in Bohemia

The memorial commemorating the victims of the Holocaust of the Roma and Sinti is located on the authentic site where the Protectorate's so-called Gypsy camp operated between 1942 and 1943. It was one of two places (the other was in Lety near Písek) where entire families of Moravian and Czech Roma and Sinti were forcibly concentrated before being transported to the concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The Museum of Romani Culture is the administrator of the site.
