Acoustic guitar, trumpet and 12 chapters of the Metallica story.

On May 6, 2024, the Velký Mlýn Cultural Centre will present Melanchollica, an acoustic guitar and trumpet duo that will present the history of the legendary Metallica. In about two hours, they will present musical collages composed of all the famous band's albums, from their debut Kill'em All through the globally most famous The Black Album to their latest release 72 Seasons. This evening, however, will not only be a musical excursion into the lives of the metal matadors, but also a narrative that will always reflect each of the stages of their musical career, including commentary on classic pieces such as Master of Puppets, One, or The Unforgiven. There will be behind-the-scenes bits and pieces, as well as personal impressions and insights.

Melanchollica was formed in March 2023, when Jan Černý (acoustic guitar) and Martin Petřík (trumpet) began to gradually work their way from the band's early albums to their present. The concept is based on the idea to introduce all music fans to Metallica's work and to look beyond their most famous hit Nothing Else Matters.
