About Maxime Bender 4tet

Freedom, spontaneity and creativity – they are the main keywords the young international jazz quartet has agreed upon. The leader of the ensemble is Luxembourg saxophonist Maxime Bender, German pianist Sebastian Sternal, his compatriot the double bassist Markus Braun and drummer Silvio Morger from Switzerland.

The band builds on the creativity of John Coltrane and gladly uses hypnotic, nearly minimalist structures that allow the soloists to ramble unrestricted. The quartet’s music gives the substance of modern jazz a most contemporary meaning, opens new horizons and possibilities for realizations to the players and item to the listeners.
