Matyáš Novák
Matyáš Novák started playing the piano at the age of five. M. Vlčková, J. Turková, M. Langer and I. Kahánek, Jitka Fowler Fraňková, Vovka Ashkenazy participated in its artistic development. Matyáš is the winner of a number of national and international competitions. He is a sought-after chamber player and accompanist, a great connoisseur and lover of railway transport, a member of the Czech Breeders' Association.
He performed as a soloist with the Brno Philharmonic, the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, the Quattro Chamber Orchestra, the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra of Mariánské Lázně and the Hradec Králové Philharmonic. Matyáš performs concerts at home and abroad (Germany, Austria, Poland, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, China). Participates in domestic and foreign music festivals: Hudba Znojmo, South Bohemian Festival Concertina Praga, Za poklady Broumovska, II Festival internacional de música de Sóller and master classes: V. Ashkenazy, J. Dvarionas, G. Gruzman, X. Hranická, I Kahanek, M. Kasík, I. Klánský, A. Kouyoumdian, D. Kuyken, M. Langer, M. Rezek.
He played the violin from the age of six. He also achieved a number of successes in this field, e.g. 2nd prize at the Kocian Violin Competition (2010). Matyáš is the recipient of the Golden Nut 2012 and the Talent of the Royal Hradec Kultury 2013. At the Artistes en herbe composition competition in Luxembourg, he won the prize of the president and founder of the competition.
