Maha Pudma

Vibraphone, synthesiser, vocals, bass and drums. The band Maha Pudma speak their own language, a mosaic of many elements, a lively hybrid of musical styles and different influences. A modern blend of melodies, which they describe themselves as progressive synth-pop. Maha Pudma is a word from Hindu cosmology and pertains to world elephants. The band plays original compositions, playing with various world music influences in a crossover fusion style. Sophisticated polyrhythmic motifs, melodies inspired by various Eastern influences and pop harmonies - the music is interspersed with lyrics in Turkish and English. Izmir-born singer and violinist Güldeste Mamaç and Danzig-based percussionist Kasia Kadlubowska have been collaborating and composing together since 2016. They have invited German musicians to join their new line-up: drummer and producer Dominik Fuerstberger and bassist Tobi Schmitt.
