M.O.P. (short for Mash Out Posse) is an American hip hop duo. Composed of rappers Billy Danze and Lil' Fame, the duo are known for their aggressive lyrical delivery style. Since 2008 the duo has not been signed by a record label.
Their first three albums To the Death, Firing Squad and First Family 4 Life made them famous in the New York underground scene. They had their breakthrough with the album Warriorz that was released in 2000.
The 2005 album Salutes the St. Marxmen was well received within the scene, not only because of the support by big rappers like Jay-Z. However, the album was not commercially successful.
The duo kept releasing albums and EPs over the years. For example, in 2014, they released the EP Street Certified, which featured guest appearances from Maino, Mobb Deep and Busta Rhymes.
