Lydia Lunch is a New York-based musician, writer, photographer and performer. She emerged on the New York music scene in 1977 with the forerunners of the no wave movement, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. In search of inspiration, she has collaborated with Karen Finley, Hubert Selby Jr, Nick Cave, William Burroughs and Virginie Despentes. She has toured 656 cities, performing on concert stages, spoken word, as part of installations, in clubs, theatres and museums.
