Louis Matute Quartet

Formed in 2016, the Louis Matute Quartet consists of four young musicians from different Swiss conservatories. The ensemble is headed by guitarist Louis Matute and its compositions are inspired by contemporary music, but always respecting traditional roots. With Noé Franklé on percussion, Virgile Rosselet on double bass and Yohan Jacquier on tenor saxophone, they have developed a strong musical friendship, wanting to share their musical sensibility with the audience. Before becoming a quartet, the Louis Matute Trio played at festivals such as Switzerland meets Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo for the 50th birthday of the Montreux Jazz Festival, AMR Summer Festival, Label Suisse Festival, Verbier Classic Festival and in clubs.
