About Libuše Domanínská
Soprano Libuse Domaninska are among our most important opera singer. After graduating from the Conservatory in Brno trained with excellent alto Marie Řezníčková. From 1945 to 1955 she was a soloist of the opera in Brno and from 1 January 1955 soloist of the National Theatre in Prague. In the Czech operettas that were as Gretel, Rusalka, Jenufa, Agnes, Karolina and many others. Libuse Domaninska sang in many countries. Particularly successful was the Abigail in Verdi’s Nabucco in Vienna. For lifetime achievement and contribution of Czech opera it was in 1996 awarded the Thalia.
