Kreator

Kreator are a cult German metal band with forty years on the scene and a rather eclectic output to their name. In the 1980s they were part of the big four of German thrash, along the way accidentally paving the way for emerging death metal with the cult Pleasure to Kill (1986); when thrash's supremacy came to an end in the 1990s, they began experimenting with gothic and industrial influences, also borrowing from death bands that had grown up through their earlier achievements. In 2001, they returned to their roots with the album Violent Revolution, catalysing a thrash revival and starting a new era of sorts. Their latest LP, Hate Über Alles, was released in 2022.
