Koppel's Villa

Koppel's Villa is one of the exhibition spaces of the Ján Koniarek Gallery in Trnava. It is located on the border of the historical and modern part of the city, where it also represents an imaginary border between historical and modern architecture.

Since 1990, it has become the permanent seat of the Ján Koniarek Gallery, and in 1992 the first exhibition was inaugurated. Ten years later, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ján Koniarek's death, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of this sculptor, a native of nearby Voderád, the founder of modern Slovak sculpture, who lived and worked in Trnava for almost thirty years, was opened in the new annex.
