Konstantin Schimanowski writes songs as if for another world, where the voices of supernatural beings are still audible and dreams weave themselves into reality. A synthesis of the voices of many thousands of years with the here and now. His heroes – from Dean Blunt to Burial to Serge Gainsbourg – contrast strongly, yet the sound is at home in a universe very much its own. A vast old landscape full of synthetic lights. In 2021 he released his debut E.P. Vague Pure Affection through the Berlin label St.Vladimir, which gained international attention in art-pop and indie circles. 2023 sees the realese of his next E.P., VAILA.
Ark White is a Berlin-based psychedelic folk artist, previously known as Bit, the producer and composer of experimental German rap duo Ruhe & Bit. 2023 saw the release of his critically acclaimed seven-track Debut-EP Foldin' Love, played on NTS Radio and featured on blogs such as Obscure Sound, SecretEclective or Queen City Sounds. His intricate, yet intimate songwriting sits somewhere between Jeff Buckley, Thom Yorke, the later Beatles and contemporary psychedelic artists like King Krule or Nick Hakim. In his songs he fuses unorthodox backgrounds in classical guitar, Hip-Hop production and Indie-Rock to assist his voice in gaining a haunting momentum while singing his impressionistic poetry.
