Klavírní kvarteto Josefa Suka

Josef Suk's Piano Quartet is recognized by a wide audience for selling music with absolute technical skill and at the same time with heartfelt lyrical delivery. "The pieces are played with great commitment, an eye for detail and an expression that is delivered with unwavering assurance. " (MusicWeb International, The Guardian)

The ensemble is named after violinist Josef Suk (1929-2011), one of the greatest figures of the 20th century violin generation, grandson of composer Josef Suk and great-grandson of Antonín Dvořák. The honour to be named after such an important Czech artist was initiated by the most renowned Czech institution in the field of chamber music - the Czech Chamber Music Society with the kind permission of Josef Suk's wife, Mrs. Marie Suk. The Josef Suk Piano Quartet thus continues the rich tradition of Czech chamber ensembles, especially the famous Suk Trio.
