The Pod Baranami cinema is located in the historic Pod Baranami Palace, right in the heart of Krakow's Main Square. It has three cinema halls, the largest of which has 128 seats. It has been in operation since 1969; in 1993–2003 it was part of the Graffiti Film Centre, and now functions as an independent entity. It focuses on European and arthouse cinema, but the repertoire will also include American, Asian and other works. Regular events include screenings, night marathons or presentations of foreign cinematography; there is also a German Film Festival every December. The Pod Baranami cinema is a member of the Europa Cinemas network and the Polish Network of Art House Cinemas.
