Kiiōtō
Kiiōtō is a musical duo consisting of vocalist Lou Rhodes, known from the British group Lamb, and pianist and producer Rohan Heath, who was previously involved in projects including Urban Cookie Collective. The project was formed during the pandemic, when the two musicians renewed their collaboration and began creating new songs together.
In 2024, Kiiōtō released their debut album titled As Dust We Rise. The album features original compositions that explore themes such as personal memories, family history, migration, social issues, and stories rooted in the American South, specifically Louisiana, where part of Heath’s family originates. The musical style blends elements of folk, jazz, narrative songwriting, and ambient sound textures.
