Kavinsky
Kavinsky is one of the artists responsible for the emergence of the synthwave movement, the author of the mega-hit Nightcall that immortalised the now cult film Drive was one of the leading figures in the emerging French electronic scene at the turn of the century, alongside artists such as Daft Punk, Justice, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn. His nostalgic synth sound, reminiscent of 80s soundtracks, has also had a major influence on the current state of popular music. Having previously released several EPs and singles, overwhelmed by the success of Nightcall and his debut album OutRun, Kavinsky retired from public life. The hiatus lasted until 2021, which saw the release of the single Renegade, which heralded the album Reborn, released in 2022.=
