Kantor tu jest is a sound walk in which the participants are guided around Krakow by the comments of the author of The Dead Class. Wojciech Kiwer created a composition for electronics, sounds of the city, and two voices. A composition written for the urban tissue, the streets of Krakow and the steps of passers-by. The starting point for the piece was the Cricoteka Archive. The interviews and press conferences of Tadeusz Kantor selected from it (mainly from the 1980s) became the basis for the preparation of the sound story about Krakow here and now. Kantor’s statements are accompanied by a text prepared by Agnieszka Jakimiak and read by the actor Radosław Krzyżowski. The whole is set to electronic music composed by Kiwer and his companion Piotr Peszat. The walk requires the Echoes app – you can participate on your own, just accompanied by your phone and headphones.
