Julien Leroy

Julien Leroy started his career as Assistant Conductor of the Ensemble Intercontemporain (EIC) from 2012 and 2015 (with Susanna Mälkki, then Matthias Pintscher). In 2014, he was awarded the ADAMI ‘Talents Chefs d’Orchestre’ Prize. An accomplished violinist, Julien Leroy studied conducting at the Sergiu Celibidache Stiftung München with Konrad von Abel and Adrian McDonnell in Paris, followed by masterclasses directed by Valery Gergiev, Kurt Masur, Jorma Panula and Daniel Harding, whom he also assisted (Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra).
