In April 2016, the artist released her debut album Parsley on her own, inspired by a couple of months' journey through Asia. The album is set in a ballad pop climate, with elements of folk and soothing sounds of ukulele and was very well received by critics. The result of the successful debut was an invitation to the Open'er Festival. In the following weeks, the single On My Own promoting the album Parsley permanently appeared on the Polish Radio 3 Hits List.
A few months after the premiere of the first album, Julia moved to the seaside, which very quickly became an inspiration for her to compose songs for the second album Postcards from the seaside. It premiered in March 2018. The material was created in less than a year and the new compositions, enriched with stronger sounds, are interwoven with delicate ballads.
