José González
José Gabriel González is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in 1978 in Gothenburg. His musical career began in the 1990s in more rock-oriented bands, after which he gradually focused on solo work with acoustic guitar and vocals within the indie folk genre.
He released his debut album Veneer in 2003; it includes tracks such as Crosses and a cover version of Heartbeats, which contributed to his international recognition. It was followed by further solo recordings, In Our Nature (2007), Vestiges & Claws (2015), and Local Valley (2021), on which he sings in several languages and which includes the single El Invento. González is also a member of the band Junip and has collaborated with various artists and on soundtracks. In 2025 and 2026, he announced the release of a new studio album, Against The Dying Of The Light, featuring a tracklist including the single Pajarito.
