Jordan Rakei
Jordan Rakei is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer born in New Zealand who grew up in Brisbane, Australia, and has been based in London since 2015. His music blends soul, jazz, R&B, alternative pop, and electronic music.
He released his debut studio album Cloak in 2016, followed by Wallflower (2017), Origin (2019), What We Call Life (2021), and The Loop (2024). Throughout his career, he has established himself as a songwriter and producer involved in every stage of his recordings, from composition and arrangement to studio production. In addition to his solo work, he also performs under the electronic project Dan Kye.
His latest work is the album The Loop, released in 2024 on Decca Records. The album was preceded by the singles Flowers, Freedom, Learning, and Friend or Foe, and thematically explores personal experiences, family, and life cycles. An expanded version of the album was released in 2025, followed by the EP Between Us in 2026.
