Jonas Friedlich
Jonas Friedlich has been released on two compilations of the Munich-based Molten Moods imprint, which distances from "kitsch and entertaining catchiness".
Jonas' name has become known beyond Munich's city limits: alongside Jonas Yamer and Till Funke he forms the Carl Gari trio. DVS1 noticed the young Munich-based artist as well and released one of his tracks on his compilation series.
Jonas' debut EP, Deskjet, follows a sound less obsessed with depth than its predecessor track Thuesdub. The four pieces on the EP remind of groovy electro and edgy techno spiced with a dose of noise, staying away from any kitsch and more than just entertaining and catchy, as promised by the label.
