Prague-born conductor Jiří Rožeň is a fellow of the German Music Council’s Conductors Forum and was recently a finalist of two prestigious conducting competitions: the 2015 Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award, allowing him to make his debut at the Salzburg Festival with the Camerata Salzburg; and the 2014 Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition, during which he performed in the Barbican Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Jiří has conducted the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Hamburger Symphoniker, Filharmonie Brno, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra and many others.
