Lake Strzeszynskie is a natural reservoir and the cleanest of Poznan’s large bodies of water. It is located among forests in the northwestern corner of the city (about 10 km from the center). The area overgrown mainly with deciduous and pine forests, is used primarily for recreation. In summer the lake is a very attractive recreational place. The resort situated by the lake has a guarded bathing site (on the eastern shore of the lake) with a sandy and grassy beach. Nearby is an art gallery with several hundred works on permanent display, and concerts are held.
