Jeangu Macrooy
Jeangu Macrooy is a singer/songwriter born in Suriname, currently living in the Netherlands. Since deciding to continue his musical career in Amsterdam in 2014, he has always worked with producer and composer Perquisite. His debut album High On You was nominated for an Edison Pop Award for Best Album in 2017. Among other things, he then played at the Lowland Festival and the North Sea Jazz and ended the year with a sold-out homecoming show in Suriname. In 2018, Jeangu was on tour with Curtis Harding and Trombone Shorty, thrilling audiences with his mix of soul and pop.
