For the 27th time the Warsaw Old Town will become the concert heart of the city and for two months it will beat to the rhythm of jazz. This year, the festival will also be dominated by Polish performers as a sign of solidarity and support for the domestic jazz scene in times of pandemic. Polish jazz stars will perform, there will be hot names and jazz discoveries, premieres and unique projects. You will also be able to hear excellent international accents.
The festival will be inaugurated by a legend of jazz and one of the greatest creators of Polish jazz – Zbigniew Namysłowski Quintet, and in the final, at the only concert in Poland, a star of European jazz and Italian piano virtuoso Stefano Bollani will perform in Trio. The event will be the premiere and only European concert of the young American trumpet star Jeremy Pelt and his quintet.
The festival aims to showcase what is classic and traditional in jazz today, as well as new trends created by the pioneers of the genre. It will combine tradition and modernity, just like Jeremy Pelt on his latest album, which will be heard live at the festival.
