Jan Pařík
Jan Pařík began playing the flute with Václav Žilka at the age of five, the clarinet with Miroslav Holík at the age of seven and the violin with Erika Váchová. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory and the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 2006–2010 he studied doctoral studies at the same university. He studied at the International Conservatory in Prague – saxophone. In 2006–2011 he was a member of the orchestra of the National Theatre Opera and the Prague State Opera. Since 2015 he has been a member of the orchestra of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec. He records for Czech Radio. Between 2009–2017 he was a teacher at the International Conservatory in Prague. Since 2018 he has been teaching clarinet at the Riverside School. In 2012 he repeatedly performed Mozart's Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra. He performs in concert both as a soloist and in chamber music with other ensembles, orchestras and artists at home and abroad.
