About James Carter
James Carter is undoubtedly one of the best live jazz saxophones in the world. A multi-instrumentalist who plays the tenor saxophone, alto, bass clarinet, flute, soprano saxophone and finally baritone saxophone. He began playing saxophone at the age of 11, and recognized the jazz world as the 24-year-old with his first record “JC on the Set”. It was one of the loudest debuts of the decade, probably the biggest one after Wynton Marsalis, with which Carter did not give a concert at the age of 17.
