The Norwegian group Jaga Jazzist, existing for more than twenty years, will return to Warsaw’s Niebo club on 23 October. The band will perform as part of the tour promoting their latest album “Pyramid”, which will premiere in August.
After a successful concert last year, the musicians decided to come back to Warsaw to present the new material, eagerly awaited by their fans. For the album Pyramid, the fans had to wait 5 years. The premiere of the album, as a result of the global pandemic Covid-19, was postponed from 24 April to 7 August. October’s concert will be a great opportunity to listen to fresh material, fans' favourite compositions and creative and crazy improvisations.
Jaga Jazzist is jazz, post rock, progressive rock, electronics, funk – and this is only a part of the incredibly dense mixture of influences and inspirations that make up the sound of the group. More than two decades of artistic activity and six albums to their credit have fully formed and consolidated the band’s position on the world music market. Known for their unobvious, innovative sound combinations, this time they tried something new in their activity. Pyramid will be the first album in Jaga Jazzist’s discography to be fully produced by the band members themselves. The album heralds a new stage in the band’s work.
