Insomnium is a leading representative of Finnish melodious death metal, this group is the realization of an artistic vision, which in the mid-90s was born in the head of guitarist and vocalist Ville Friman. The driving force behind the band is its two founders, Trevor Strnad (vocal) and Brian Eschbach (guitar). Since 2012 they have been supported by bassist Max Lavelle and drummer Alan Cassidy. The youngest acquisition is guitarist Brandon Ellis, who joined TBDM in 2016. The popularity of the band in the USA is evidenced by the fact that since 2009 each of its albums was in the Top 50 of the prestigious Billboard Top 200 albums. The best was Ritual from 2011, which reached the position of 31. Stam1na is a native language that was formed in in 1996 in a small town in the south of Finland. Choosing Finnish for the language of songs did not prevent the band from succeeding beyond the borders of their homeland. Gentlemen are in love first of all in melodious thrash metal and this is heard on records, but they also do not avoid drawing from the achievements of progmetal performers and classical heavy.
